Need Statement for Mary:
- Marry needs a way to cut down the flight preparation time so that she can spend more time flying.
- Marry needs a way to change the landing location of her flight so that she can enjoy flying more.
Need Statement for Louise:
- Louise needs a way to know when they will land so that they can make plans. (make reservations and find things to do)
Big Idea for Marry’s Need Statement:
The app will have a map, weather (wind speeds) and navigation. The app will be able to fill out the navigation log form with the information provided by the map, weather, and navigation. The pilot will be able to input where they are departing from and where they would like to land so that the app can look up the weather and the navigations for their desired route. The app will also refresh it’s weather reports in case the weather changes. Any changes to navigation or weather will also be changed in the navigations report. The app will send alerts if flying conditions are dangerous. The app will have a flight checklist to ensure that the pilot is ready for take-off. With this app, Marry will be able to do what she enjoys doing the most, “actually flying.”
I had a very hard time brainstorming ideas and I also wasn’t sure if they had to be all related to the digital medium. I would be happy to add more ideas and if I come up with any more I will post them up above.
